In Britain, people liked what they were used to on TV – many TV ads seen in the 1970s and 1980s had jingles and slogans first heard in the 1950s and 1960s!

The Fresh Cream Cakes – “Naughty But Nice” – ads, featuring various celebrities, had a much shorter run – they were produced from the late 70s to the mid-80s. These two ads, from 1984, feature the English comedians Les Dawson and Roy Barraclough as Ada and Cissie, two hilarious middle-aged ladies.
