Sekonda is a British distributor of fashion wristwatches.
Originally a company which marketed Soviet-made time pieces in the West, Sekonda’s Soviet ties ended with the break-up of the USSR. Most Soviet-era Sekondas were re-badged Poljot and Raketamodels, produced respectively by the First Moscow Watch Factory and the Petrodvorets Watch Factory.
Since 1993, the company has imported its products from factories in Asia, as it no longer has ties with the Russian producers. Since 2004, the First Moscow Watch Factory is not producing anymore, though the Petrodvorets Watch Factory is still producing the Raketa watches
Sekonda also markets watches under the sub-brand SEKSY for ladies’ fashion, ONE for men’s fashion and Xpose for rugged outdoor lifestyles of either gender.

The Royal Mail can trace its history back to 1516, when Henry VIII established a “Master of the Posts”, a post which eventually evolved into the office of the Postmaster General.
Upon his accession to the throne of England at the Union of the Crowns in 1603, James VI and I moved his court to London. One of his first acts from London was to establish the royal postal service between London and Edinburgh, in an attempt to retain control over the Scottish Privy Council.
The Royal Mail service was first made available to the public by Charles I on 31 July 1635, with postage being paid by the recipient. The monopoly wasfarmed out to Thomas Witherings.

SodaStream (NASDAQ: SODA) is the maker of a consumer home carbonation product based on the principles of making a carbonated drink as originally invented by Guy Gilbey in 1903. The device allows users to take ordinary tap water and carbonate it to create soda water (or carbonated water) to drink. Along with the addition of concentrated syrups and flavorings, owners can create carbonated beverages that are similar to the most popular brands of soda and energy drinks available to the general US and international marketplace. It was popular in the 1970s and 1980s when there were a number of brand name syrups available, and, after the company merged with Soda-Club in 1998, it was relaunched with an emphasis on healthier drinks. Soda-Club is currently headquartered in Israel, and has 13 production plants.
Sodastream has been involved in numerous environmental projects, including waste reduction, beach cleanup and reforestation. In the UK (where it was first sold) the SodaStream machine is strongly associated with 1970s/1980s childhood nostalgia.
